Get Ready for St. Patrick's Day at the Lake of the Ozarks

St. Patrick's Day is the time of year when the lake area starts stretching and waking up after a long winter's hibernation (regardless of the weather on the holiday!) There are parades and fun festivities on both the land and on the water, but best of all, your favorite Lake of the Ozarks waterfront bar & restaurant is open for the beginning of another incredible season! (FINALLY!!!)

Opening Day 2019
As a matter of fact, Backwater Jack's is opening back up at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 14, 2019, to give you a couple days practice before the big St. Patrick's Day celebration. It's been a few months since you've gotten back to Backwater Jack's, and we're happy to ease you into it. It's going to be a long, awesome season with plenty of chances to party it up, so no need to get crazy right away... unless of course, you want to. We're totally happy accommodating that too!

It's going to be a few weeks yet before the pool and our Sushi & Asian Grill are up and running again. That always depends on when Mother Nature finally decides to bring our warm weather back to stay. We will, however, have all of your other menu favorites ready to enjoy. Who else is ready to get back for those fantastic Raw Deal Thursdays? You can expect the best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks to be gracing our stage too.

As we mentioned, there are St. Patrick's Day celebrations both on and off the water, and you can reach Backwater Jack's by both land or lake! That means we expect to see each and every one of you once the parades are over.

Lake Ozark St. Patrick's Day Parade
For those of you traveling via wheels, the historic Bagnell Dam Strip and the road leading up to it are the home for this holiday parade. Be warned, people start lining up early and we've even seen a bit of "tailgating" going on in years past. Roads close at 12:45 pm for the parade and will open back up by 3:00 pm at the latest. Plenty of time for you to make your way back to us for a night full of fun!

St. Patrick's Day Parade on the Water
You may prefer to check this parade out instead if you're already itching to get back on the lake. Everyone is encouraged to decorate their watercraft and be a part of the morning parade beginning at 10:00 am. No boat? No problem. You can also view the parade from either the Celebration or Tropic Island cruise yachts. Either way, once you're done, cruise on over to Backwater Jack's for a late lunch, then stick around and hang out with us as long as you like!

After Party at Backwater Jack's!
Parades happen early in the day, giving you the entire evening to party at the best waterfront bar & restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks. It will be just like we never stopped last season at all!

Even though the St. Patrick's Day festivities happen on Saturday, the actual holiday falls on Sunday this year. That means you need to head on back to Backwater Jack's to finish out the weekend with some incredible Bloody Marys and more lakeside fun. It may still be chilly, but we can stay all cozy and warm indoors. And don't forget to wear your green. You never know, we may be pinching!
