Join the 2019 Support Our Troops Poker Run at the Lake of the Ozarks

There are lots of incredible annual events at the Lake of the Ozarks all year long. We especially love the ones that involve getting out on that gorgeous lake, raising money for a great cause, and making a pit stop at Backwater Jack's! 

2019 Support Our Troops Poker Run
Our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront bar & restaurant is proud to be a part of this fantastic poker run on the water. Since its inception in 2007, the Support Our Troops Poker Run has grown from 60 boats to over 100 boats and 400+ people from all over the country! 

 This year's event will take place on Friday, June 28, 2019. Last year's 11th annual poker run allowed them to donate $34,000, adding to a grand total of over $218,000 donated to H.E.R.O.E.S. Care to date! 

H.E.R.O.E.S. Care  
H.E.R.O.E.S. (Homefront Enabling Relationships, Opportunities, and Empowerment through Support) Care is an affiliation of program partners working together to provide support to military families in the communities where they live. Their mission is to provide a nationwide and efficient support network that is available before, during, and after deployment to post 9/11 servicemen and servicewomen, veterans, and their families. 

 The program consists of a network of tens of thousands of trained caregivers and thousands of professional mental health care and service providers. They all work together to provide an unprecedented support system. Events like this poker run on the water allow them to continue their incredible work.

Get Registered Today
You can get registered for the 2019 Support Our Troops Poker Run in 3 easy steps. 

  • #1 - Visit www.LakeCharityPokerRun.com to download and complete a waiver.
  • #2 - Have a copy of that waiver and your insurance on hand to bring with you on poker run day.
  • #3 - Complete the online registration form and upload that along with the completed event waiver and proof of insurance.   
Registration is $250.00 per 2-person team (Captain & Mate) and includes: 
  • 2 T-Shirts
  • 2 Dinners
  • 2 Party Tickets
  • 2 Poker Hands
Additional crew members may be added for $50 each and they will receive 1 of everything listed above. There is no charge for military guests riding along for the day. Additional poker hands may be purchased for $20 each. All sales are final. 


Poker Run Stops
As we mentioned earlier, Backwater Jack's is proud to be one of the stops on this year's Support Our Troops Poker Run. That day we'll have our usual delicious food and drinks, fun lakeside pool, and awesome live music to keep you busy while you're here with us.
