Get Ready - It's Almost Spring Harbor Hop Time!
The Lake of the Ozarks annual event that is known as the (unofficial) start to the boating season is almost here - the Spring Harbor Hop! That's just one more excellent reason to make plans now to get yourself back to Backwater Jack's on Saturday, May 4, 2019, to take part in this always exciting day of fun on the water.
The Poker Run
For those of you that are new to the Lake of the Ozarks Harbor Hop, here's how it works. You begin at one of the more than 40 participating waterfront bars, restaurants, or marinas on the list. There you will pay an optional $20 donation to register and receive the first card to begin your poker hand. Anyone can play, and you are welcome to register for more than one hand.
Next, you will spend the rest of the day "hopping" from stop to stop, picking up a card each time that you do. Once you collect your 7th card, you will turn in your completed poker hand at that stop. If you're not completely happy with the cards that you've been dealt, you may purchase an additional 8th card for $5. Take as much time as you like cruising from place to place, as long as your completed poker hand is turned in by 7 pm.

The Prizes
The dollar amount of each of the prizes listed below depends on the amount of money raised from entry fees. Winners will be alerted by mail, and the prizes, in the form of gift certificates to local establishments, will be divided as follows:
1st Place: 10%
2nd Place: 9%
3rd Place: 8%
4th Place: 7%
5th-10th Place: 4% each
Random Drawing for 10 Hands: 2% each
The Bonus: In addition to the regular prize winners, a section winner will be recognized. To be eligible to be a section winner, a player must draw all 7 cards within one of the four sections designated on the "Dealer Locations" on the Harbor Hop website.
The Best Card Stop
You will need to make at least 7 stops during the Spring Harbor Hop to collect your poker hand. Make sure that you plan your route wisely so that you have plenty of time to hang out with us at our waterfront bar & restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks. We can definitely get your hop started, but you'll want to make sure to join us at the end of the event too so you can spend the rest of your evening partying at Backwater Jack's!
We'll be serving up your favorite foods all day (and all week) long, as well as the most refreshing drinks in town. As a matter of fact, in addition to our regular restaurant menu, the Sushi & Asian Grill should be open Harbor Hop weekend too!
For entertainment on Harbor Hop Saturday, we have the amazing Phat Mike Unplugged from noon-4 pm and the fantastic Whiskey Trio from 5-9 pm. Be sure to come back on Sunday too for more of the best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks when the London Strangers will be taking the stage.
Wear Your Suit
More than likely you'll be wearing your swimsuit on the boat, but if it happens to be too cold to get into the lake, bring your suit anyway. Our heated pool will be the perfect temperature for taking a dip, and the swim-up bar means you don't have to get out of the water when you're ready for another drink.
Who's Ready to Hop?
The Spring Harbor Hop is always the perfect event to get you in the mood for an exciting season of fun on the lake and our waterfront bar & restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks is the perfect place to get you in the mood for an exciting season of fun next to the lake! There are a lot of great stops listed below, but make sure Backwater Jack's is the main stop on your list.
