Succulent Seafood Dishes at Backwater Jack's

In case you didn't realize it already, October is National Seafood Month. You've still got a couple of weeks to celebrate, and Backwater Jack's has got quite a few delicious ways for you to do that. Even though our Sushi & Asian Grill is closed until next season, the main kitchen at our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront restaurant & bar has a LOT of different seafood dishes that you're going to love!

SEAFOOD APPETIZERS
Half of the appetizers on our menu have seafood as one of the tasty ingredients. These are an excellent way to start any meal!

Snow Crab Clusters
Nothing but the freshest snow crab clusters! They are boiled hot and served by the pound with a tub of butter.

Seafood Nachos
These baked nachos are made up of a big pile of tortilla chips topped with tomatoes, black olives, onions, shredded cheddar cheese, and a seafood mixture of shrimp, scallops, and crab meat.

Stuffed Mushrooms
Large mushroom caps are stuffed with our handmade crab and cream cheese mixture and then baked in white wine.

Colossal Crab Rangoon
Four oversized wontons are stuffed with Jack's own crab and cream cheese mixture, fried to a golden brown and served with our homemade apricot sauce.

Seafood Quesadilla
A large flour tortilla shell stuffed with black olives, tomatoes, red and green onions, shredded cheddar jack cheese, and a seafood mixture of shrimp, scallops, and crab meat. It is then grilled to perfection and served with sour cream and salsa.

Grouper Fingers
Our version of a hand-breaded filet in our secret recipe honey breading served with raspberry tartar sauce.

Backwater Jack's Buffalo Shrimp
Ten butterflied shrimp breaded and served with a side of Jack's hot sauce.

West Key's Boiled Shrimp
Succulent shrimp are boiled in Cajun spices, chilled, and served with freshly cut lemons and cocktail sauce. These are available by the pound or half-pound.

Raw Oysters on the Half Shell
Served chilled with freshly cut lemons and cocktail sauce by the dozen or half-dozen.

SALADS & PASTA
When you're in the mood for a salad or a plate full of pasta, we can satisfy that craving and fulfill your National Seafood Month celebration at the same time!

Jack's Island Seafood Salad
This savory salad has shrimp, bay scallops, and crab meat served over fresh seasonal greens with tomatoes, sliced mushrooms, sweet bell peppers, broccoli florets, and red onions.

Jack's Seafood Florentine Pasta
We take grilled shrimp, bay scallops, crab meat, and roasted garlic and serve it over a bed of fettuccine noodles with a rich and creamy Alfredo sauce.

Jack's Loaded Jambalaya
A mix of sauteed green and red bell peppers, onions, crab, scallops, shrimp, chicken, and Andouille sausage tossed in a spicy sauce and served over a bed of wild rice along with our sweet cornbread.

Spicy Cajun Seafood Pasta
Sauteed green and red bell peppers, onions, crab, scallops, and shrimp tossed in a spicy and rich cream sauce served over fettuccine noodles.

SANDWICHES & ENTREES
If you are looking for a hearty main meal, these seafood dishes will definitely do the trick!

Fillet of Grouper Sandwich
Our own version of this delicately flavored fish coated in a light batter and deep-fried until golden brown and served with tartar sauce on a hoagie roll. You can also request to have it grilled or blackened instead.

Blackened Ahi Tuna
An 8-oz. charbroiled tuna steak blackened and cooked to your desired temperature. (We suggest medium-rare to medium.) This is topped with garlic butter and served over wild rice.

Grouper
A generous portion of our own version of fillets prepared either grilled, blackened, or coated in a light batter and deep-fried, served over a bed of wild rice.

Snow Crab Clusters
Our snow crab clusters are so delicious, we had to put them on both the appetizer and the entree menu! Once again, the freshest snow crab clusters served hot, by the pound, with a tub of butter. If you want to make it a double-order, we'll even give you a discount!

Like we said, there are a LOT of delicious options when it comes to eating the best seafood at the Lake of the Ozarks when you dine with us. Get yourself back to Backwater Jack's in October to celebrate National Seafood Month, and keep coming back after that for even more delicious food, incredible drinks, and all kinds of fun. The "summer season" may be over, but we're not done yet!
