There's Still Time for Sushi & Swimming!
Autumn officially "falls" upon us this weekend, but there's still time for you to enjoy the heated pool at our waterfront bar & restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks, as well as the amazing food from our Sushi & Asian Grill down by the pool. The sushi and the pool are both seasonal, but we're not ready to put them away for the season just yet!
Bring Your Swimsuit
This week the weather has been absolutely perfect for hanging out in the best waterfront pool at the Lake of the Ozarks. We plan to keep the pool open as long as the great weather holds out, at least until the end of September. The pool is heated and a comfortable 83°, so even if there's a slight chill in the air, the water is still enjoyable. Be sure to keep your swimsuits handy when you head back to Backwater Jack's just in case you feel like taking a dip!
Of course, you don't need a suit to sit in a lounge chair by the pool and simply soak up the relaxing ambiance it creates. The other side of our swim-up bar has plenty of seating out of the water too, and it's the perfect little hideaway for hanging out with friends.
Try the Sushi
The same goes for our Sushi & Asian Grill. We definitely plan to keep it open through the end of September, but beyond that, we'll be playing it by ear. If you haven't had the chance to taste the best sushi at the Lake of the Ozarks yet, then we highly suggest that you get on over here and give it a try. People have been raving about it since we began serving sushi last year.
The culinary artists of Jina Yoo's Asian Bistro out of Columbia, MO are in charge of the sushi kitchen and they are experts at this type of cuisine. You'll find many classic dishes like the California Roll and Rainbow Roll, plus quite a few with Backwater Jack's creative Midwestern flair such as the Redneck and the Ozark Lobster Roll. You really need to try these and many more of our delicious menu items from the Sushi & Asian Grill, but come in soon. Otherwise, you're going to have to wait until we open it back up next spring!
Great Food, Drinks, & Fun Inside Too
Like we said, you still have some time to enjoy the pool, swim-up bar, and Sushi & Asian Grill for a little bit longer, but you've got even more time to enjoy classic Backwater Jack's in the main restaurant. All of your favorite menu items will be coming out of our kitchen throughout fall. As a matter of fact, last year we didn't close for the season until December 23, and as long as you keep coming to see us, there's no reason why we can't do that again this year too!
Fall is a wonderful time to sit outside and enjoy that gorgeous lake view with a hot meal. (Perfect to counteract the chill of our frozen drinks that are hard to resist, even when it gets colder outside!) We've also got lots of seating inside with enough room to host incredible live music on our indoor stage too. In addition to our regular daily specials (Crabby Ol' Mondays, Tequila Tuesdays, Wine-O Wednesdays, Raw Deal Thursdays, and Sunday Fun Days,) our Friday Night Steak Night is back this time of year!
Even though you may miss the pool and the sushi in a few weeks, we've still got plenty of delicious food, amazing drinks, fantastic live music, and all-around fun here at Backwater Jack's to keep you happy and fully satisfied. Come in for lunch, dinner, drinks, a dip in the pool, or all of the above soon. We're looking forward to seeing you again!
