The Top 5 Reasons We're Your Labor Day Weekend Headquarters
Labor Day is a popular time to head to the lake for a 3-day weekend full of fun, sun, and excitement. There are lots of places to visit while you are here, but today's blog has all the reasons you need to put our incredible waterfront bar & restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks at the top of your "to-do" list for the holiday. There's so much to do, see, hear, and taste at Backwater Jack's, you may never want to leave!
#1 - Easy to Reach by Water or by Land
It doesn't matter if you're traveling by boat or by car, it's easy to find us both ways. We've greatly expanded our parking lot this year, and all the cabs know how to find us. Just tell them "I've gotta get back to Backwater Jack's!" They'll know how to get you here, and they'll be happy to come back later and pick you up.
We are located in Osage Beach off of Osage Beach Parkway. From there you take Beach Drive to Cocu Court, and you can't miss us! By water, we are located on the 17.5 MM. You should be able to find a spot to dock, but just in case everyone else has the same great idea about hanging out with us as you do, "boat-pooling" (just like carpooling) is always a good idea.
#2 - Lots of Room to Play
If you haven't had the chance to check us out yet this season, you're in for a huge surprise! We have GREATLY expanded the size of our establishment, plus added more ways to have fun and enjoy your food and drinks. The indoor dining area got an update last year, and this summer we added a lot more outdoor seating, a bigger stage for our incredible bands, a Sushi & Asian Grill, and the best pool at the Lake of the Ozarks complete with a swim-up bar. It's a good thing we keep growing, because just like the saying goes, the more, the merrier!
#3 - Pool Time Fun...with Ducks!
We truly believe we nailed it when it comes to our awesome pool area, and from what our customers have been saying, they completely agree! Plenty of room for the big crowds we've been getting, plus a great area surrounding the pool to hang out and take in a bit of sun. There's lots of seating on the far side of the swim-up bar to enjoy the view and a few drinks without actually getting in the water too. Once the sun goes down and the lights go on, you won't believe your eyes!
Oh, and the ducks, well, they're all a part of our Labor Day weekend "Zero Ducks Given" party on Saturday, September 2. We'll be sectioning off the pool area for this unbelievable party for ages 21 and up that day. For a $10 cover charge, you can jump in the pool with all the rubber ducky inflatables, plus get lots of free goodies and samples from the reps from Malibu, Absolut, and Anheuser-Busch. Also, there will be 4 of the best DJs spinning all the most amazing party music all day long, from 11 am - 7 pm. There is even a VIP admission available with bottle service. #4 - We'll Keep You Dancing
We've always had a knack for presenting the best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks, and this season has been the best one ever! The brand new, bigger lakeside stage seems to make the bands sound even more amazing. In addition to the DJs playing the "Zero Ducks Given" party, we'll also have live entertainment happening Friday - Monday with music from: Steven Woolley, Griffin & the Gargoyles, The Surge, James Clay, and more! Even if you don't feel like dancing, we're willing to bet that at least your toes will be tapping, because these bands are hard to resist!
#5 - Our Food & Drinks Can't Be Beat
Last, but certainly not least, the thing we're most widely known for. Our kitchen produces the best food at the Lake of the Ozarks, and our bars are filled with the coldest beer and most refreshing cocktails you've ever had the pleasure of sipping. All of your old favorites can still be found on the menu, and with the addition of our Sushi & Asian Grill in the pool area, we most definitely have a perfect dish for even the pickiest gourmets in your group.
