You'll Never Get Bored at Backwater Jack's!
Anyone that makes their way to the lake area is most likely looking for some fun. After all, it's an incredible vacation destination. We do everything in our power to make sure that visitors to our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront bar & restaurant enjoy a memorable time they can brag about to their friends and remember fondly for years to come. Take a look at some of the amazing things you'll find at Backwater Jack's to keep you from ever getting bored while you're here.
That Awesome Pool
Folks have been getting themselves back to Backwater Jack's for years, but the addition of our fantastic lakeside pool and swim-up bar seems to give them all an extra reason to stick around a lot longer! There are lounge chairs and tables both in and out of the water, sunny spots, shady spots, and it's conveniently located next to our big outdoor stage.
We have hosted quite a few unbelievable pool parties and there are a lot more on the way! Our SWIMDUSTRY pool parties at 10 pm each Monday night have become very popular. Every holiday weekend you can expect another Zero Ducks Given pool party, and even more in between all of those. Weeknights and weekends in the pool are strictly for those age 21 and older. Weekdays before 2 pm ages 10-20 are allowed to swim.
Lakeside Dining
You'll find lots of outdoor seating overlooking our gorgeous lake view, and the large windows found inside allow you to see that same magnificent view. Our menu uniquely combines the styles and ingredients of South Florida and the Caribbean with traditional favorites of the Midwest. It's what we like to refer to as Coastal cuisine with a Midwestern flair! For example, you can feast on made from scratch dishes like Seafood Nachos, the Cuban, Colossal Crab Rangoon, Jumbo Jalapeno Poppers, Grouper Fingers, Snow Crab Clusters, and much more.
We even feature weekly specials to shake things up a bit offering great deals on popular drinks and food items. These include Crabby o' Monday, Tequila Tuesday, Wino Wednesday, Raw Deal Thursday, and Sunday Fun Days!
Last, but certainly not least, throughout the summer we open our Sushi & Asian Grill out by the pool. The culinary artists of Jina Yoo's Asian Bistro out of Columbia, MO lend their expertise for the enjoyment of your taste buds. It's everything you would expect from a Japanese restaurant, plus a few unique dishes that you'll only find at Backwater Jack's.
Live Music
We host the best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks, and during our peak season, it's happening nearly every night of the week! Local, regional, and national bands have all graced our stages playing a wide variety of just about every type of music. From DJs to solo acts to full-blown bands, you'd better show up ready to dance! When the weather is nice, the music can be found coming from our outdoor stage, but bad weather won't get in the way of our entertainment. There's a great stage located inside too, so the party never has to stop!
Vacation House Rental
If you plan to have so much fun with us that you won't want to leave, you might now have to... kind of. About a 100 feet from Backwater Jack's down the sidewalk by the water, you will find the best vacation house rentals at the Lake of the Ozarks.
Our incredible house can be rented in three different ways; just the upper level, only the lower level, or rent out the entire house. That makes it easy to find the perfect rental for groups of many sizes. Each level comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests. The upper level has 2 full bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a great covered deck overlooking the water. The lower level offers a mini kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and it's own fantastic lakeside deck.
So you see, it would take a pretty miserable person determined to have a bad time to get bored hanging out at our waterfront bar & restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks.
