The Best Waterfront Restaurant for Celebrating "Eat Outside Day" is Backwater Jack's!
Another fun food holiday is coming up soon on Monday, August 31, 2020 - Eat Outside Day. Since there's no better place to enjoy a lakeside or poolside meal than Backwater Jack's in Osage Beach, this is definitely a great holiday to celebrate right here with us!
There's lots of space for groups of all sizes to dine outdoors at our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront bar & restaurant. As a matter of fact, even if you choose to sit indoors, you still get an amazing outdoor view.
Crabby Ol Monday
Since Eat Outside Day happens to fall on a Monday this year, that means that in addition to our regular menu items you can also take advantage of Monday's daily special. We begin each week around here with "Crabby Ol Mondays!"
Since most people are a bit crabby on Mondays because the weekend is over, we turn those frowns upside down with great low prices on pounds of our succulent snow crab. In addition to that, you can also enjoy special discounts on our famous Rum Runners and Pain in the A** frozen cocktails from the bar. Best of all, we've got the amazing James Clay hitting the stage August 31 for your listening pleasure.
Dinner on the Deck
There is plenty of lakeside seating on the deck around the main restaurant, around the lakeside tiki bar, and between the main building and the pool with a fantastic view of the music stage. The menu here consists of our special brand of "Coastal Cuisine with a Midwestern Flair."
We've combined the styles and ingredients cultures of South Florida and the Caribbean with traditional favorites of the Midwest. Some of our delicious dishes include Jack's Baked Nachos, Raw Oysters on the Half Shell, a Triple Decker BLT, the Fillet of Grouper Sandwich, Backwater's Cuban Sandwich, and a whole lot more. Oh, and don't forget to give our famous Fried Potato Salad a try too!

Just past our incredible pool and swim-up bar, you'll find the best sushi at the Lake of the Ozarks in the Sushi & Asian Grill. You can enjoy it lounging around the pool or sitting lakeside by our second tiki bar.
The culinary artists from Jina Yoo's Asian Bistro out of Columbia, MO, helped us bring this creative menu to life. It's filled with everything you expect in a Japanese restaurant plus a little more, from classic sushi rolls to our very own Backwater Jack's-inspired dishes.
We may be nearing the end of summer but there's still plenty of great days left to enjoy a delicious meal outdoors at our lakeside restaurant & bar at the Lake of the Ozarks. As a matter of fact, the weather around here in the fall is also wonderful for outdoor dining.
