Service Industry - Get Ready to Raft at the Lake of the Ozarks!
Employees at the bars and restaurants around the lake area work hard to make sure everyone visiting has an awesome time while they're in town. Backwater Jack's, along with our friends from Malibu, are setting aside Tuesday, July 30, 2019, to give all of those hardworking service industry folks their very day of fun on the water.
Our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront bar & restaurant will be home to the 1st Annual Malibu Service Industry Raft Races! Everyone in town is welcome to hang out at the pool & cheer on the teams but this competition is reserved for service industry employees. And guess what... it's FREE to enter!
Gather Your Team
The party rafts, oars, and life jackets will all be provided. You just need to show up with your team, and possibly a cheering section of your personal fans. Sign-up starts at 11:00 am with races beginning at 1:00 pm. Additional rules will be provided the day of the event, but here are the basics.
Pool Party on the Sidelines
For everyone not competing, or between races if you are, we're throwing another one of the best pool parties at the Lake of the Ozarks all day long! As long as you're 21 or older, you can chill out in our awesome pool while DJs play party music throughout the entire event.
Grab lunch at either the main restaurant or at the Sushi & Asian Grill when you get hungry. To quench your thirst from that hot summer sun, the bars will be slinging all of your favorite, ice-cold, refreshing drinks. Get ready for some incredible drink specials at the pool party too on Malibu, Absolut, and Jameson.
Win Big Prizes
More than likely you're going to sign up for the raft races because they sound like so much fun. After getting a load of the prizes up for grabs, we bet your competitive nature kicks in!
Prize packages will be made up of a number of out-of-this-world goodies, including Apple watches, Cardinals & Royals tickets, and awesome gift cards. There will also be a special prize for the "Best Team Uniforms" so start planning those rafting ensembles that will really WOW us!
Plan to stick around after the races too because you know the party never stops at Backwater Jack's! This event falls on a Tequila Tuesday, so margaritas & shots will be on the menu all night long! Don't waste a moment. Get to work and start convincing your fellow co-workers that you guys need to form a winning team right now!

- All teams must consist of 2 males and 2 females ages 21+ that work in the service industry.
- Races will consist of 2 teams at a time in a bracket format.
