3 Great Reasons to Visit Lake of the Ozarks This Winter
Sure, since our Lake of the Ozarks waterfront bar & restaurant is closed this time of year, you probably don't think there's any reason to head to the lake area looking for fun. On the contrary, even though you can't get back to Backwater Jack's just yet (but very soon!) you can still enjoy a trip to the lake.
It's gorgeous around these parts year-round, plus during the off-season, everything seems to flow a bit more of a slowed-down, relaxed pace. Mardi Gras Pub Crawl
This year Valentine's Day falls on the Thursday before the Lake Pub Crawl which is scheduled for Saturday, February 16, 2019, so it's a great excuse to plan an extended weekend right here at the lake. Take care of all the romantic stuff on February 14, rest up on the 15th, then take part in the world's biggest pub crawl on Saturday! That still leaves you Sunday to recover before heading back to the real world. Rest, relaxation, romance, and revelry all rolled up into one long, awesome weekend at the Lake of the Ozarks!
The Lake Pub Crawl extends across Lake Ozark and Osage Beach with 16 stops along the way. A $10 wristband allows you to enter each venue, all of which will feature their own live music. That wristband also allows you to ride any of over 30 buses providing a sober ride all night long from 4:00 pm-2:30 am. Opening Day at Backwater Jack's
Spring doesn't officially begin until March 20, so we can technically classify our opening day on Thursday, March 14, 2019, as "winter fun!" We will FINALLY be opening our doors back up so that you can enjoy all of your Backwater Jack's favorites from both the main restaurant menu and the bar. You'll still have to wait a little while longer before the pool and the Sushi & Asian Grill open back up, but don't worry, we'll have plenty planned to keep you happy and entertained during opening weekend!
St. Patrick's Day Parade
The best part about the Lake of the Ozarks St. Patrick's Day Parades on Saturday, February 16, 2019, is the fact that you can get yourself back to Backwater Jack's when it's over! Whether you choose to watch the parade on land that goes across the historic Bagnell Dam Strip or take part in the parade on the water, plan to point your car or boat our way once the parades come to an end. We'll be ready and waiting to keep your St. Patty's celebration going all weekend long. (After all, Sunday is officially the actual holiday.)
You see, in addition to the natural beauty that you always find around the lake area, there's always something fun going on for you to enjoy too. Just think, in a couple of month's you'll have every reason to spend as much time around here as possible because Backwater Jack's will be open once again and ready to party even harder than we did in 2018!
