You're on lake time, baby! One of the best parts about coming to the Lake of the Ozarks is that you don't have to rush. This is your excuse to get out from underneath the crazy, hectic schedules your everyday life and simply enjoy being alive!
2. Remember: Safety First
It's important to put safety first in all your activities, but it is especially important on the water. If your Lake vacation includes boating, tubing, water skiing, swimming, or fishing, don't skimp on the safety precautions! Make sure your boat is equipped with plenty of life jackets, an orange or red flag to signify someone is in the water, and a complete first aid kit. 3. Slather Up
While we're on the topic of safety precautions, it's important to remember to pack (and apply!) sunscreen. The Lake of the Ozarks may not be located in the Caribbean, but we still have our fair share of sunshine. Nothing ruins a great vacation quite like an uncomfortable sun burn, so be sure to give yourself periodic breaks from the sunshine.
4. Plan Ahead
How much is left in your shampoo bottle? How many days do you have left on your current prescription? While the Lake has plenty of great pharmacies and convenience stores, you can save yourself unnecessary headaches by purchasing next month's supply before you leave.
Nothing says a true vacation like submerging yourself in the local scene. Take time to enjoy the beautiful views and the local wildlife.
